The @one Alliance is a collaborative organisation formed to deliver a large part of the Anglian Water AMP4 and AMP5 investment programmes.  It comprises seven partners; Anglian Water Engineering (AWEng), Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions Limited (BBUSL), Barhale, Black & Veatch, Grontmij, MWH and Skanska Jacobs.

Anglian Water is a regional water utility company responsible for delivering water and wastewater services in eastern England.  The Anglian Water Engineering (AWE) capability provides skills which are unique, yet complement the other partners and cover the entire Capital Delivery Process. Core competencies and skills are in enabling activities, modelling, technical design, construction assurance, procurement and commissioning, underpinned by strong project management, financial and performance management.

Balfour Beatty Utility Solutions (BBUS) is a specialist business within the global Balfour Beatty Group. They work with major energy, water and telecommunications providers around the world to create the vital infrastructure essential to modern life. With a head office in Sheffield, BBUS employs around 4,000 people and they joined the Alliance in 2004. BBUS staff working in the Alliance bring experience in renewals, rehabilitation and replacement projects for both water and wastewater infrastructure.

Barhale Infrastructure specialist Barhale works UK-wide across the environment, transport and energy sectors, providing design, construction and maintenance services. The company employs around 800 people and has its head office in Walsall. Barhale joined the @one Alliance in 2004 andis capable in infrastructure and non-infrastructure construction in the wastewater sector providing capability across a number of infrastructure programme areas to the Alliance.

Black & Veatch is an international design and contracting organisation with experience of alliancing and collaborative working.  They bring expertise in all areas of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects includingasset and environmental planning, design, construction and operational improvement services. With a UK HQ in Surrey, they employ around 9,000 professionals in 110 offices worldwide. They were an original member of the Alliance from 2004 (AMP4) and were reselected as a partner in 2010 (AMP5).

Grontmij is an international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy experienced in working collaboratively as part of alliances.  In the UK they have 11 offices and a headquarters based in Leeds. They employ around 1,000 people across four business lines of water and energy, planning and design, transportation and monitoring and testing. They joined the Alliance as Carl Bro at the start of AMP4 in 2005 bringing expertise to the design study work carried out in the @one Alliance in all areas of infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects for water and wastewater. Grontmij also has a working arrangement with Mott McDonald which allows access to a broader skill base.

MWH is headquartered in Colorado, USA, and employs around 7,000 professionals worldwide, providing a full range of integrated water and wastewater engineering and construction services. In the UK, their Head Office is in Heywood, Lancashire and they employ around 1,000 people throughout the UK. Joining the Alliance in 2005 as Biwater Treatment, they were taken over by MWH in 2011.

Skanska bring particular skills in the design and construction of water and wastewater non-infrastructure assets to the Alliance. Skanska is one of the world’s 10 largest construction companies, employing 53,000 employees worldwide with headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. A leading international project development and construction company, they joined the Alliance in 2005 in partnership with Aker Solutions to carry out the design of Non- Infrastructure schemes such as treatment works for both clean water and wastewater across the Anglian region

Jacobs is one of the world’s largest and most diverse providers of technical, professional, and construction services, offering support to industrial, commercial, and government clients. Their HQ is in California and their global network includes more than 200 offices worldwide employing more than 50,000 people. They joined the Alliance through the acquisition of Aker Solutions on 1 April 2011.
